Our Properties & Locations

  • Reed-Turner Woodland Preserve

The 50-acre section of the original grove of oak and hickory trees for which Long Grove was named, is a beautiful, calm place to walk, watch, and listen for the ever present signs of wild life.

Trails are open dawn to dusk, weather permitting.  They are well defined and most are covered in wood chips for easy walking.

  • Reed-Turner Nature Center

Barbara Reed-Turner graciously donated her original summer home and surrounding three acres to the Long Grove Park District, providing the gateway to the Preserve as well as a base of operations for the Park District and a community meeting space.

Buffalo Creek Park is 5-acres of peaceful green space in downtown Long Grove. An iconic gazebo is right in the middle of the park. It has been the venue for many a wedding ceremony as well as a peaceful place to read or reflect.
