Time: 5:00 pm

This program gives kids a chance to explore their creativity and express through color. We’ll focus mainly on drawing and also using a variety of mediums like colored pencils, pastels (both oil & chalk), charcoal, watercolor, ink, acrylic paints, etc. Exposure will also be given to oil painting at an advanced level. We’ll draw from observation and reference paintings/photographs and later develop our ideas to create a composition. We’ll also experiment to use our imagination as we progress. We’ll paint on paper and later on canvas. Holding a pencil correctly, using a brush and applying colors appropriately will be taught in this course. Students will need to provide their art supplies. The list will be provided before the beginning of the first class. Class meets once a week, 4 classes per session.

Bring your Olympic dream to life! Youth will develop self-confidence, learn about teamwork and sportsmanship and gain skills as they participate in soccer, basketball, floor hockey, track & field and more. They will apply these skills to exciting activities and game situations. The last day of class they will participate in a Mini Olympic Games Tournament. Led by SportsKids Inc.

Boys and girls learn jump shots, shots off the glass, lay-ups, shooting from a pass and shooting off the dribble. Shooting games are also a part of the class. Led by SportsKids Inc.

Time: 12:30 pm

Bring the entire family each week for 45 minutes of archery fun! You and your family members will meet new friends while learning the parts of an arrow and recurve bow, the basics of using a recurve bow, a nationally recognized beginner’s 9-step to the 10 ring progression method and fundamental shooting skills from an experienced instructor. All equipment is provided. The fee includes 1 child and 1 adult. Led by SportsKids Inc.

TOT ROCK (1 year olds with parent) Maracas and clackers and tambourines too; it’s musical fun just for you! Tot Rock is a unique music and learning program designed specifically for 1 year olds. Each session focuses on a new educational theme that incorporates hand-held instruments, play props, sensory integration, coordination exercises and socialization. Kid Rock I (2 yrs with parent) Make it a musical day! Kid Rock is a music and movement program designed to stimulate development through interactive play. Fine and gross motor skills are improved through imagination exercises and by using rhythm instruments and movement props such as tambourines, maracas, scarves and a parachute. Presented in a structured format, Kid Rock encourages cooperation and following directions. Each session focuses on a new educational theme. Sing, dance and play today! Class minimum 4/max 8.

Bond with your child as you help them develop body awareness, coordination, flexibility and balance while having fun learning and practicing movement, rolls and other tumbling exercises. Toddlers also use balls, hoops and ribbons to try simple rhythmic gymnastics movements that stimulate growing muscles and build concentration. Ages 2-3 w/parent. Led by SportsKids Inc.

Children are introduced to tumbling positions, drills and movements such as tuck, straddle, bridge, forward roll and cartwheel. leaps, jumps, stretching, running and balancing are taught as part of rhythmic gymnastics movements that also involve using hoops, ribbons and other hand apparatus. This class promotes the development of balance, strength, motor skills and flexibility in a safe, fun and progressive setting. Ages 3-5 yrs. Leed by SportsKids Inc.

Time: 5:00 pm

Introduce your child to America’s past time in a fun and creative way. While the basic skills such as fielding, catching and batting will be covered, your child will never be bored as we make sure all kids stay moving and involved. Ball and bats provided so just bring your glove and let’s play ball! Full innings will be played. Ages 3-5 yrs. Coached by 5 Star Sports.

Batter UP! We’ll cover the fundamentals including pitching and hitting off a pitch. Ball and bats are provided so just bring your glove and let’s play ball! Full innings will be played. Ages 6-9 yrs. Coached by 5 Star Sports.

This class helps develop balance and improve concentration while staying fit. Our fun and informative fencing classes teach students the basics from beginner to expert. Students can continue to improve by signing up for multiple classes. Safety is stressed and each participant handles a foil in every session. Students will learn moves and strategies that create the foundation for their fencing game. Each class features instructions and competition. Ages 8+. Class is instructed by Vladimir Lapshin. All equipment provided.

CheckMates Chess Academy focuses on teaching students of ALL SKILL LEVELS. Our unique curriculum makes learning chess fun and classes entertaining. For kids, chess is a game, an educational tool, and a great way to bond with family! We invite your children to enjoy this timeless game with us. We will be exploring chess tactics such as thinking ahead, correct positioning, and controlling the board while playing many chess related games like “Take Me” and “Crazy Queen!” Students will learn new strategies as well as ways to apply them to their everyday lives. Studies have shown that skills like concentrating, focusing, and weighing consequences are very beneficial for kids to learn, especially in a fun game like chess. The last day of class we will be having a intra-class tournament, complete with PRIZES for all those who participate!

* Tai Chi - Special Needs KidsTai Chi - Special Needs Kids

This Tai Chi class will be focusing more on meditations, Qigong (breathing exercises) and simple Tai Chi movements. The weight transference movements improve balance and body awareness. Its relaxed, slow, graceful and precise body movements enhance the strength of the body and clarity of mind. The ultimate purpose of Tai Chi is to nurture the Qi (Life Force) within us to flow smoothly and powerfully throughout the body to help us in concentration, energy, stress relief and harmony. You are invited to play the competitive, minimal contact sport of football without the tackling. You will be taught the fundamentals of football in this instructional and fun class. This class will consist of a flag football-style scrimmage where regular football gear will not be used. All equipment is provided and games will be played at the end of most weeks. Please bring a water bottle to class. Instructed by 5 Star Sports.

Tai Chi is a martial art that emphasizes weight transference to improve balance and body awareness. Its relaxed, slow, graceful and precise body movements enhance the strength of the body and clarity of mind. The flowing movements of Tai Chi contain much inner strength, like water flowing in a river. Beneath the tranquil surface there is a current with immense power. Tai Chi is also one of the best martial arts for self-defense. This class will focus more on Kung Fu applications and self-defense techniques! Instructed by Ken Ning with 5 Star Sports.

Looking to up your game for an upcoming league? This program will consist of fun games and drills that incorporate many skills including ball handling, shooting, passing, rebounding and defense. There will be a scrimmage game played at the end of each week to allow time to put all the skills to use. This is a must attend camp to help accelerate your basketball skills on the court.

* Safe Sitter Babysitting ClassSafe Sitter Babysitting Class

Time: 10:00 am

Our babysitting program for boys and girls, sponsored by Safe Sitter, is sure to get your teen on the right track to become a babysitter. Participants will learn how to care for a choking infant or child, basic first aid, personal safety for the babysitter, injury prevention, how to care for children, preventing problem behavior, behavior management, ethics and babysitting as a business. Program includes a babysitting manual and a completion card.
